The Winchester Police Department is investigating a Robbery
On 12/11/12, at approximately 9:12 p.m. officers responded to the Caribbean Food Store located at 226 Kern Street for a report of an armed robbery. According to the witness, three males entered the business, assaulted the clerk, displayed a handgun and took an undisclosed amount of money before running from the area on foot.
Suspect # 1-black male, wearing a khaki suit, approximately 6”2, 180lbs.
Suspect #2-black male, between 5”4-6”2, wearing a black toboggan.
Suspect # 3-black male, wearing sweatpants.

Frederick County Crime of the Week - December 24, 2012
The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a theft from vehicle which occurred at 4651 North Frederick Pike on November 6, 2012. The victim, a Frederick County Sheriff’s Office Deputy, reported that while she was at Gainesboro School to cast her vote in the elections on November 6th, an unknown suspect entered her vehicle and removed credit cards and identification cards from her wallet. The credit cards were then used in Winchester, as well as at the Walmart in Charles Town, West Virginia.

Frederick County Crime of the Week - December 17, 2012
The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary and grand larceny from 391 Howards Chapel Road between November 1st and 2nd, 2012. It was reported that the residence had been forcibly entered and the wiring cut and removed along with copper plumbing from the kitchen and bathrooms. The unknown suspect(s) also removed the air conditioning/heat pump from the rear of the residence.

Winchester Crime of the Week - December 10, 2012
This weeks Crime Solvers crime has to do with a Robbery. The Winchester Police Department is investigating a Strong Armed Robbery that occurred on September 21, 2012 in the 1st block of Richards Ave, in the City of Winchester.
The victim in this case reported that he was assaulted by 2 males and blacked out. When he awoke he realized his wallet was missing. The suspects were both described as black males, 5’ 10” tall, and about 160 lbs. One was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and the other was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. Frederick County Crime of the Week - December 3, 2012
The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office is investigating two burglaries and larcenies at Jim’s General Store located at 2674 Martinsburg Pike. The first burglary occurred on October 18, 2012. Unknown suspect(s) forced entry into the business and an unknown amount of U. S. Currency and some beer was taken. The second incident occurred on October 25, 2012. Again, unknown suspect(s) forced entry into the business and removed a jar of loose change and a 12 pack of Bud Light beer.

Frederick County Crime of the Week - November 19,2012
The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an armed robbery that occurred on October 29, 2012 at Stateline Exxon, located at 4663 Martinsburg Pike. The Clerk reported that a white male entered the store with his face covered, carrying a weapon and a plastic bag. He walked up to the register and demanded all the money. The clerk complied by placing the cash in the plastic bag. The suspect then exited the store and fled the area.

Frederick County Crime of the Week - November 5, 2012
The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office is investigating and burglary and grand larceny on September 24, 2012 at 309 Doe Trail. The victim reported that unknown suspect(s) forcibly entered the residence and removed a jewelry box containing numerous pieces of jewelry and four bottles containing prescription drugs. Various other items in the residence had been gone through, including a second jewelry box. The only item removed from that jewelry box was a pair of earrings.

Employees of Trophy World reported that a large green filing cabinet missing from the office and that it must have been taken sometime overnight on August 16-17, 2012. Nothing else was disturbed. There were no signs of forced entry. The business received information later in the day that the cabinet was located on Reardon Rd in Frederick County.

Frederick County Crime of the Week - October 22, 2012
The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office is investigating two larcenies from vehicles that occurred at Shenandoah Sand, located at 1305 Martinsburg Pike, and one at PTG Logistics, located at 209 Brooke Road. These larcenies occurred between September 7th and September 27th, 2012. In all three instances, large amounts of diesel fuel was siphoned from parked semi-trucks and dump trucks.

The victim advised that he left his wallet at the checkout counter of the Sharp Shopper located at 1107 Berryville Ave. Video shows the female in line behind him, took it and left the area in a dark SUV. The suspect was described as a white female in her 30’s with brown hair.

Frederick County Crime of the Week - September 10, 2012 The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary and grand larceny at Galilee Church located at 1831 Welltown Road. The Pastor reported that upon entering the church on June 5, 2012, he discovered that unknown suspect(s) had forcibly entered the building and removed a substantial amount of currency which was partial revenue from a yard sale held by the church.

Video showed 2 females with brown hair and a third suspect in a tan or gold vehicle pull up beside the victim’s vehicle and one suspect entered the victim’s vehicle taking the items.

Frederick County Crime of the Week - August 13,2012
The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary and larceny that occurred at The Gulf Store located at 381 Fairfax Pike on July 13, 2012. A delivery person reported a suspected break-in on that date and deputies responded to the scene. The manager arrived and upon taking inventory, reported that several cartons of cigarettes had been taken and that several fixtures to the property sustained damage resulting from the forced entry.

An employee reported that a female came into the store requesting to use their bathroom to change her baby. They allowed her to use the back room of the store. Later the employee noticed her wallet was missing and that several unauthorized charges had been placed on her credit cards. The suspect was described as a white female in her 20s, 5’5”, 120 lbs, and had blonde hair. She was picked up by a white female with dark hair who was driving a white vehicle. On April 5, 2012, Deputies responded to the 100 Block of Larue Lane reference a burglary and grand larceny. The resident reported that unknown suspects forcibly entered his garage and removed a Craftsman tool chest with tools, a Gary Fisher Mountain Bike, blue in color, a Recumbant three wheel bike, brown in color and a two wheel bike trailer. Estimated value of the stolen items is $1,700.00.

Frederick County Crime of the Week - April 16, 2012
The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a report of vandalism and grand larceny from 2261 Front Royal Pike. One contractor at the construction site reported extensive damage to a 2000 Dodge Dakota pickup truck and theft of several extension cords. Other contractors reported that their utility trailers, a backhoe and some storage containers on the site also had been entered or were damaged in this incident.

MISSING PERSON
The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information reference the disappearance of Daniel Eye on October 10, 1992. Mr. Eye was last seen at his home on Papermill Road on that date and has never been seen alive since. His vehicle was recovered on October 14, 1992 at the Luray Avenue Boat Landing in Front Royal, Virginia. This boat landing is on the Shenandoah River.

Frederick County Crime of the Week - March 19, 2012
On January 26, 2012, the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a burglary and grand larceny on the 400 block of Sir Johns Road. The resident at that address reported that his residence was forcibly entered and a gun safe containing several rifles, a shotgun, ammunition, some car titles and a large amount of U. S. Currency was taken.

The victims own a trash collection business and noticed that sometime between December 28th and 31st someone took 80 gallons of diesel fuel from their trash truck. They believe that it would have taken more than one person to carry that much fuel away.

Frederick County Crime of the Week - March 5, 2012
The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a burglary and grand larceny from 2261 Front Royal Pike on February 1, 2012. Deputies responded to a report of larcenies from storage containers located on a construction site at that address. Miscellaneous copper tubing, copper fittings, and copper wire was removed from the containers, along with various hand tools. Value of items taken is estimated at more than $11,000.00.

The business owner of Second Skin, located at 4 S Loudoun St, advised that her Valentine’s Day decorations were missing from the front of her business. The decorations included garland, hearts, and large red lights. The business owner previously reported that her Christmas decorations had been taken in November. In each incident over $200 in decorations were taken.

Frederick County Crime of the Week - February 20, 2012
At approximately 7:22 a.m. on December 18, 2011, a lone black male walked into the Liberty Station on U. S. 50, East of Winchester. He displayed a large knife to the clerks, then walked behind the register and removed an undetermined sum of money. The robber is described as a black male, 5’9” tall, slender build, wearing a dark hoodie, tan cargo pants and black and white sneakers. He had a white t-shirt type material over his face with slits cut out for his eyes. He said nothing to the clerks.

Location:300 block of Tevis St Date of Crime: December 22, 2011 Type of Crime: Larceny The victim advised that he was expecting a package to be delivered on this date and when it didn’t show up, he reviewed his surveillance video for the front of his residence. Video showed the package was delivered at 15:58 and a male taking the package from the porch at 17:20. The suspect was described as a white male, 5’10”, 220 lbs, had close cropped hair, wearing a sweatshirt and blue jeans. He was driving a white quad cab truck with silver freezers in the truck bed.
